Jane Goren: Sex Cells / Matt Aston: Third's a Charm / Zachary Sharrin: Being and Knowing
This group exhibit features three flourishing local artists. Jane Goren, known for treasuring what others trash, uses recycled objects as material for her work. Painter Zachary Sharrin uses dark colors, wide brush strokes, and, on occasion, figures of horses. Matt Aston, a well-known painter, recently completed work on Green Day's music video and the restoration of the Egyptian Theater. Curator James Panozzo has managed to pull these divergent individuals into a cohesive exhibit that's both enlightening and entertaining. Through December 17. At Lawrence Asher Gallery, 5820 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 100. Tues. - Fri. 11am - 6pm; Sat. noon - 5pm. 323.935.9100 or www.lawrenceasher.com
